OSMA
Meet Danielle + Sofie
With OSMA head chef Danielle making her debut on BBC Two’s Great British Menu this week (and making us all proud while she’s at it!), we thought it was about time you got to know her and co-founder Sofie a little better.
Oslo • Manchester
Two cultures, one ethos. Named for the home cities of Fie and Dani, OSMA is known for wowing guests in their Prestwich neighbourhood spot – even being named in the Michelin guide within their first year.
Local Danielle sharpened her skills at the brilliant L’Enclume in the Lakes, before heading to the three Michelin-starred Maaemo in Norway. It was in Oslo where her and Sofie met and the idea for OSMA was born.
The pair are all about creating spaces that people can enjoy, noon and night – Sofie designed the restaurant interior herself, aiming to enhance Dani’s menu and create a truly special spot in the heart of the suburbs.
EXHBTN x OSMA
Joining as one of our independent kitchens in November, OSMA brings Scandinavian influences and their passion for local, seasonal produce to Exhibition. From open sandwiches and soups for lunch, to tempting small plates made for sharing in the evening – OSMA makes dishes that make people happy. Think “hygge” on a plate.
In a new collaboration with Baratxuri, you can also find plates from Dani and Fie in the OSMATXURI pop up. A small but mighty selection, make sure to drop by and give it a try – it won’t be here forever!
