Join us in celebration for English wine week (17th-23rd June), where we have selected two great English wines from our wine menu to pour by the glass at a reduced price.
Blackbook is an urban winery located in a railway arch in Battersea. Their ethos embraces minimal intervention winemaking. We will be pouring Blackbook’s GMF and Painter of Light Chardonnay by the glass this week at a reduced price.
GMF – This textured fizz is buzzing with elderflower, citrus and white pepper notes through to waxy lemon palate with streamlined minerality. The Seyval Blanc grapes, which make this wine, are grown in the foothills of the Berkshire Downs, 10 miles south of Oxford
‘Painter of Light’ Chardonnay – The grapes are sourced from the single ‘Clayhill’ vineyard situated on the coastal peninsula of the Crouch Valley in Essex. The wine is fine and elegant with citrus and honeydew melon aromas. Textured on the palate, the refreshing citrus and tropical flavours are underlined by a smoky, flint character.
